sophie the giraffe
welcome sophie!…
this natural rubber teething toy has been around for some time – originally created in france in 1961 and created using sap from rubber trees and natural food pigments. those who know, love sophie as a soft flexible teething toy for little ones 0-12 months.
we have been asked over the years to find sophie and here she is – sophie can be purchased at sprout for $ 24 and easily shipped anywhere in the world!

our friend rupa – www.rupakphotography.com – gifted me this storyboard of jack’s favorite expressions.
scoring a goal at soccer is top left… getting frustrated is second. ( smile, i’ve seen that face before… )

who is amy handler?..
amy designs fun & dramatic ways for little ones to stay active!
amy handler earned a BA in performing arts and art history from washington university in st. louis and an MFA in children’s theater at the university of texas / austin.
she spent her summers working at nick jr. where she worked on the pilot episode and helped develop ‘blues clues’.
she has also worked with cartoon network – for 6 years – developing cartoons!
her experience as a drama teacher spans from pre – k to college and she loves using drama as a tool to teach other subjects.
currently she teaches creative movement and drama at the neighborhood charter school in grant park.

young children & their grown up will work together to explore the different ways we move our body through space. less focused on defining steps as in traditional dance classes, creative movement draws on children’s curiosity about moving bodies, music, shapes & imaginative play.
